Scholarship Opportunities for Graduate Students

West Texas A&M University offers a number of competitive scholarships to students pursuing graduate degrees. Through Scholarship Services most awards for graduate students, subject to annual availability of funds, generally factor the following:

Completing the online scholarship application by February 1
Maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA
Completing FAFSA and showing financial need
Resident of Texas

Academic departments and other University departments also award scholarships to graduate students. Although the criteria may vary, most are awarded to resident and non-resident students based on academic excellence, leadership, or special talents.

For summer awards, call the Scholarship Office at 806-651-3330 or email scholarships@wtamu.edu after April 1 to be placed on a list. After spring grades are posted, awards for the summer will be made and sent via the students’ buff email.
