Major-Specific University Core Requirements

**IMPORTANT: The following courses are required for their specific Core areas instead of the courses listed above in the general University Core Curriculum.**

A grade of “C” or better is required in all University Core Curriculum sections 10, 20, 80, and three of six hours in section 90.

Refer to the University Core Curriculum Requirements for all options. Students are encouraged to take one of the following courses.

BUSI 1301 - Business Principles 3
BUSI 1304 - Business Communication 3
CIDM 1301 - Introduction to Information Science 3
or CIDM 1315 - Programming Fundamentals 3
ECON 2331 - Economics and Society 3
or Other University Core 90 equivalent

B.B.A. Degree Core Requirements (39-40 hours)

A grade of “C” or better is required in all B.B.A. degree core courses.

Twelve credit hours:

Twelve credit hours of advanced finance electives

Six credit hours-any advanced courses from:

accounting, economics and finance not already taken for above requirements.

Additional electives to total 120 hours

Note:

For information about the master of science (M.S.) degree in finance and economics, refer to the “Graduate Catalog”.

Total hours required to complete degree: 120 hours

A student must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours, which includes at least 36 advanced hours taken at WTAMU.

Texas Transfer Framework designated hours

Designated hours from the Texas Transfer Framework will be applied towards the following requirements for the Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance:
