The Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities offers course work, laboratory preparation and real-life experience in humanities and fine arts. Students studying in fine arts and humanities departments can apply what they learn toward professional careers in performance, art, education, government, non-profit organization, and writing, among other opportunities.
The college also offers a strong liberal arts foundation for students who wish to pursue traditional, broadly based university goals with emphasis in fine arts or humanities. A wide range of general courses is available for students seeking some background in fine arts and humanities while majoring in one of the University’s other academic disciplines.
The Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities fosters thought, artistry, and culture as integral to the human experience. In the arts and humanities, we empower students through dynamic and transformative learning. The college enhances the quality of life in communities and cultivates belonging and forward-thinking citizens, educators, scholars, and artists.
