All full-time dance majors must choose a concentration and enroll in one 1-credit hour practicum course each semester for six semesters.

A grade of “C” or better and a 2.75 overall GPA (WT and transfer) is required.

Major-Specific University Core Requirements

Core 90 - Component Area Option (1 of 6 hours)

Refer to the University Core Curriculum for all options. Students are encouraged to take the following course:

IDS 1071 - Elementary Group Dynamics 1-3
Or other University Core equivalent

Dance Core Requirements (40 hours)

A grade of “C” or better and a 2.75 GPA is required in Major Requirements.

Education (Grades 6-12 Certification) Concentration (38 hours)

Education Requirements (28 Hours):

A grade of “C” or better and a 2.75 GPA is required in Education Requirements.

Total hours required to complete degree: 120 hours

Depending on transfer credits and other substitutions/waivers, student may need to take additional electives as needed to total a minimum of 120 hours or the minimum total hours required for this degree, of which at least 36 must be advanced (3000/4000 level) and earned at WTAMU.
