Sports and Exercise Sciences Major Requirements

Major-Specific University Core Requirements

This program requires no specific courses from the University Core Curriculum.

Sports and Exercise Sciences Requirements (33 hours)

A grade of “C” or better and a 2.75 GPA is required.

A grade of “C” or better and a 2.75 GPA is required.

Bachelor of Arts/Science Requirements (6-12 hours)

B.A. Degree

In addition to the core curriculum, a minimum of 12 hours as follows:

At least six semester hours of foreign language, and
Six hours chosen from art, communication studies, dance, English, history, media communications, modern languages, music, philosophy, religion, and theatre.

B.S. Degree

In addition to the core curriculum, a minimum of 6 hours as follows:

Six hours chosen from biology, chemistry, environmental science, geology, geosciences, mathematics, physics, and natural sciences.

Electives: Take additional hours as needed to total 120 hours overall

Total hours required to complete degree: 120 hours

A student must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours to include at least 36 advanced hours.

Notes:

All undergraduate SES majors must achieve a grade of “C” or better in all courses with an SES prefix and all courses within the Additional Content Emphasis. Failure to do so requires retaking the course.
