Lab hours will count towards Component Area Option (Core 90).

Core 90 - Component Area Option (6 hours)

ENGL 1302 - Academic Writing and Research 3
or ENGL 2311 - Introduction to Professional and Technical Communication 3
Lab hours from CHEM 1411 and CHEM 1412 (2)
Fourth hour from MATH 2412 (if taken for Code 20), or additional lab hour from four-hour Life and Physical Sciences (e.g., BIOL 1411L) (1), or IDS 1071 (1)

Biology Requirements (34-39 hours)

A grade of “C” or better and a 2.75 GPA is required.

Choose one course in each of the following groups. At least two must have labs.

A grade of “C” or better and a 2.75 GPA is required in Education Requirements.

Electives

Take additional electives as needed to total 36 hours of advanced work (3000- or 4000-level) from WTAMU and to total a minimum of 120 hours overall, or the minimum total hours required for your degree.
