Major in Agricultural Media and Communication
(Major Code: 540)
The bachelor of science degree in agricultural media and communication is a cooperative program of the Department of Agricultural Sciences and the Department of Communication Studies. The degree program is administered by the Department of Agricultural Sciences. A student must complete a minimum of 120 semester credit hours and maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average for all courses at WTAMU counted toward the degree. Achievement of at least a “C” (2.0) average in all WTAMU course work offered toward a degree, at least a “C” grade in major requirements listed in degree plans and at least a “C” grade in all hours in the student’s major subject is required. At least 36 semester hours of credit must be earned from upper-level (3000- and 4000-level) courses. Course requirements include core curriculum requirements, a department core in agriculture and requirements specified under the degree option to total 120 semester credit hours.

In addition to the core curriculum, a minimum of 6 hours as follows:
- Six hours chosen from biology, chemistry, environmental science, geology, geosciences, mathematics, physics, and natural sciences. (Extra lab hours move to Electives.)
