Properties of pure substances, equations of state for fluids and solids, work, heat, first law of thermodynamics, second law of thermodynamics, entropy, second law analysis, gas/vapor power and refrigeration cycles as it deals with energy and energy transformation in application to a wide range of mechanical systems.
