WTAMU provides a pre-dental specialization for students interested in pursuing a career as a dentist. The pre-dental specialization may be completed while earning a B.S. The curriculum is a mixture of biology, chemistry, math, physics, and non-science courses which fulfills prerequisites for dental schools in Texas and prepares students to be competitive candidates when taking the DAT and applying to schools of dentistry. Prerequisite courses will vary somewhat, based on the curriculum offered at the various schools. Students considering this field should consult with the pre-dental adviser for information regarding various schools and their particular requirements.
