Six hours from biology, chemistry, geology, geosciences, mathematics, physics and natural sciences.

B.A. option is possible, but B.S. is recommended to avoid needing more than 120 hours overall.

All students will compile and submit an e-portfolio that demonstrates the student’s competencies in at least five of the following eight categories:
- Leadership
- Mass Media Production
- Media Convergence
- Written Communication
- Cultural Influences
- Theoretical Perspectives
- Professional and Civic Responsibilities
- Media Management
The e-portfolio must be submitted for review in the required internship course. The student must receive a score of 3 or higher on each section of the portfolio to be certified for graduation.
