Major in Health Sciences
(Major Code: 730) The curriculum for the B.A./B.S. degree in Health Sciences is centered on courses in the natural sciences, health sciences, and clinical sciences; as well as elective courses in social sciences and exercise sciences. Emphasis areas include a pre-professional healthcare option and a healthcare administration option. Note: A student majoring in Health Sciences may only complete a maximum of 24 credit hours in courses offered through the College of Business. University Core Curriculum (42 hours)
Refer to the University Core Curriculum section of this catalog. A student must complete a minimum of 120 semester credit hours to include at least 36 advanced hours. Health Science Core - Required Courses (24 hours)
Pre-Healthcare Professional Option - Select from the following Prescribed Electives (24 hours)
Bachelor of Arts/Science Requirements (6-9 hours)
PHIL 3375 in the Health Science Core will count towards the 12 hours of B.A. requirements (if selected). Professional School Prerequisites and General Electives (up to 24 hours by advisement)
Healthcare Administration Option - Select from the following Prescribed Electives (24 hours)
Bachelor of Arts/Science Requirements (6-9 hours)
