General Information for Art Students
- Outside work is required in all studio classes. The Department of Art, Theatre and Dance reserves the right, with permission of the student, to retain class work for instructional purposes and for a permanent collection of student work.
- Foundation studio core referred to in some prerequisites consists of ARTS 1316 , ARTS 1317 , ARTS 1311 , ARTS 1312 , ARTS 1303 and ARTS 1304 .
Notes:
Art majors (B.A. or B.S. degree) are not required to hang a senior exhibit; however, with departmental approval, the student may elect to have a one-person or group show. If the student decides to show, guidelines given for studio major exhibits will be followed. A critique is optional.
Art majors (B.A. or B.S.) interested in gallery management, museum work or other art/business possibilities should normally select Option I or III and take support courses in ACCT 2301 , ACCT 2302 , BUSI 1301 , MKT 3340 , MGT 3330 , MGT 3332 (18 semester hours).

21 semester hours of the following, with at least one ARTS 4370 and one ARTS 4371:

Art, history, English, philosophy, theatre, dance or music.
