The Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities offers course work, laboratory preparation and real-life experience in humanities and fine arts. Students studying in fine arts and humanities departments can prepare for professional careers as performers, clinicians, writers and critics, as well as for careers in university and public education.

The college also offers a strong liberal arts foundation for students who wish to pursue traditional, broadly based university goals with emphasis in fine arts or humanities. A wide range of general courses is available for students seeking some background in fine arts and humanities while majoring in one of the University’s other academic disciplines.

The Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities fosters and preserves the art and skill of human thought and expression. Through teaching, research, creative activity, performance, and professional service, we advocate for the importance and the relevance of the fine arts and humanities.
