MUSI 4380 - Audio Recording: Engineering and Production

Prerequisite(s): MCOM 3306   or consent of instructor. Study of recording session procedures specific to music recordings, emphasis on musicality and artistry in both classical and commercial performance. Session procedures, microphone techniques and applications, signal flow and processing, mixing and producing. Focus on the roles of the engineer, 2nd engineer, produces, and talent in the production process.
