From Language, Philosophy and Culture - Core 40 (3 hours)


Digital Communication & Media: Digital Journalism Concentration Major Requirements (45 hours)


A grade of “C” or better and a 2.75 GPA is required.

Bachelor of Science Requirements (6 hours)


Six hours from biology, chemistry, geology, geosciences, mathematics, physics and natural sciences.

Note:


B.A. option is possible, but B.S. is recommended to avoid needing more than 120 hours overall.

Notes:


  • All students will compile and submit an e-portfolio that demonstrates the student’s competencies in at least five of the following eight categories:
    • Leadership
    • Mass Media Production
    • Media Convergence
    • Written Communication
    • Cultural Influences
    • Theoretical Perspectives
    • Professional  and Civic Responsibilities
    • Media Management
  • The e-portfolio must be submitted for review in the required internship course. The student must receive a score of 3 or higher on each section of the portfolio to be certified for graduation.
