Take additional electives as needed to total 120 hours overall.

Note:


Digital Communication and Media majors may not count more than 48 hours of MCOM courses toward the degree. Electives should be in other subjects.

Graduation Requirements


 All majors in a Media Communication’s major will compile an e-portfolio that demonstrates the student’s competencies in at least six of the following eight categories:

  • Leadership
  • Mass Media Production
  • Media Convergence
  • Written Communication
  • Cultural Influences
  • Theoretical Perspectives
  • Professional and Civic Responsibilities
  • Media Management

The e-portfolio must be submitted for review early in the semester the student plans to graduate. The student must receive a score of 3 or higher on each section of the portfolio to be certified for graduation.
