Major in Theatre

Theatre Program Requirements
- Through the Theatre Production course (THRE PROD ), each theatre major will perform satisfactorily in at least one role or technical crew position (including design, management and production running crews) for one show per semester. Academic eligibility factors into casting and production assignments; therefore, theatre majors should maintain a semester GPA of 2.50 or higher, keep regular attendance in all classes, and make a “C” or better in all courses required by the major.
- All acting majors will audition for all WTAMU Theatre productions unless excused from audition by the director of the production.
- All theatre majors will attend the required jury evaluation at the end of the semester.
- New theatre majors will have a jury at the end of their first semester in the program.
- All theatre majors will have a jury at the end of each spring semester.
- Juries will occur through required semester enrollment in the Audition or Portfolio sequence (THRE FRSH , THRE SOPH , THRE JUNR , THRE SENR ).
