Certificate Requirements:
The certificate program in technical communication is designed for a wide range of audiences including: - English majors seeking a career in technical and professional communication;
- Students in technical and professional disciplines who want to increase their chances for success on the job market;
- Working individuals looking to improve their workplace effectiveness.
Additional:
With written approval from the Technical Communication Coordinator, up to two of the six required courses may be substituted with the following: - Significant, documented workplace experience in a professional environment that required extensive technical writing.
- Completion of a 4000-level, discipline-specific course that entails a significant technical component.
