The Panhandle Alternative Certification for Educators/Master of Arts in Teaching (PACE/MAT) program is a university-based teacher certification program for individuals who have previously earned a bachelor’s degree and want to make a career transition into the teaching profession.
PACE offers certification in the following areas:
- Elementary: EC-6 Core Subjects.
- Middle School: 4-8 Core Subjects, or 4-8 English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies.
- Secondary: 6-12 or 7-12 content areas.
- All-Level: EC-12 content areas or EC-12 Special Education.
