BIOL 1406 Basic and Contemporary Biology I (HAZ) and
BIOL 1407 Basic and Contemporary Biology II (HAZ)
OR
BIOL 1411 Botany and
BIOL 1413 Zoology (HAZ)

From Component Area Option:

ENGL 1302 Academic Writing and Research or
ENGL 2311 Introduction to Professional and Technical Communication
Other three hours of Component Area Option are satisfied by lab hours from Life and Physical Sciences and IDS 1071 or fourth hour from MATH 2412 .

Biology Requirements

Biology Electives

Take six biology courses (2000, 3000 or 4000 level) of which five must include laboratories.

Additional required courses:

Advanced Electives

Additional advanced hours to provide a minimum of 39 hours selected from biology, chemistry, biotechnology, environmental science, geology, mathematics or physics.

Note: Advanced hours taken for Biology Electives count toward these 39 hours.

Additional Electives

Take additional hours (if needed) to provide a total of 120 hours.
