Two semester hours graduate-level music electives to equal 32 semester hours
Other Requirements
Each semester the music major is enrolled in nine semester hours or more (four semester hours in a summer session), the student must enroll in a major ensemble. Band (MUEN XX26 or XX27) is the major ensemble for woodwinds, brass and percussion; choir (MUEN XX41 or XX42) for voice; orchestra (MUEN XX29) for strings; choir for keyboard majors, but keyboard students may choose band or orchestra, respectively, if they can play a woodwind, brass, percussion or string instrument. Candidates will be required to pass oral examinations over literature in their recital and major field of study. |
