University Core Curriculum Requirements


Refer to the “University Core Curriculum ” section of this catalog.

Note:


Theatre majors are required to sign up for only one credit hour of practicum (THRE 1120 THRE 3199 ) per semester (six hours total).

Theatre Program Requirements


  1. Every theatre major will perform satisfactorily in at least one role or technical crew position (including design, management and production running crews) for one show per semester. Academic eligibility factors into casting and production assignments; therefore, theatre majors should maintain an overall GPA of 2.75 or higher, keep regular attendance in all classes, and make a “C” or better in all courses required by the major.
  2. All theatre performance majors will audition for all WTAMU Theatre productions unless excused from audition by the director of the production.
  3. All theatre majors will attend the required jury evaluation at the end of the semester.
    • New theatre majors will have a jury at the end of their first semester in the program.
    • All theatre majors will have a jury at the end of each spring semester.
