Superintendent Certification

Requirements:
Refer to the Educational Leadership degree program for requirements.
- Master’s degree 19 TAC Sec. 242.20(1).
- Principal certification 19 TAC Sec. 242.20(4) (must be held prior to completion of superintendent certification).
- A state test is required for certification 19 TAC Sec. 242.20(1).
Probationary Certificate Requirements:
- Master’s degree and Standard Principal Certificate.
- Completion of admission requirements for the professional superintendent program.
- Serve in a supervised internship.
- Provide a copy of employment for administrative position.
