Mass Communication Core Requirements (28 hours)
Note:
Students are advised to complete the University Core Curriculum during their first two years of classes. Graduation Requirements
All students in a mass communication program will compile an e-portfolio that demonstrates the student’s competencies in at least six of the following eight categories:
- Leadership
- Mass Media Production
- Media Convergence
- Written Communication
- Cultural Influences
- Theoretical Perspectives
- Professional and Civic Responsibilities
- Media Management
The e-portfolio must be submitted for review early in the semester the student plans to graduate. The student must receive a score of 3 or higher on each section of the portfolio to be certified for graduation.
