Public History Minor

Minor Requirements:

Available to all students regardless of major.

18 hours of public history and public history-related courses, including:

Six hours from the following:

HIST 3302 - Introduction to Public History 3 (required unless approved by public history coordinator, in which case students may select one course formthe following to substitute fore 3302).
HIST 3304 - Local History 3
HIST 3305 - Oral History: Theory and Practice 3
HIST 3308 - Museum Collection Management 3
HIST 4372 - Topics in Museum Studies 3
HIST 4382 - Topics in Public History 3

Six hours of internship courses from the following:

Six hours from the public-history course options listed:

From the “general” list of public history-related courses offered in other disciplines as delineated by the public history coordinator(see link to latest “general list” on WTAMU History Department website.)
