330 Introduction to the characteristics and function of prose style across a variety of technical and professional genres. Course will address: audience, context and purpose and how they influence style, the professional writing process, and sentence-level issues. Students will gain an advanced knowledge of style guides. Students will gain practical experience editing a variety of professional and technical documents. This course builds essential written communication skills such as communicating about specialized topics to specialized audiences, communicating with clarity and problem-solving skills.
