MENG 4358 - Finite Element Analysis

Prerequisite(s): ENGR 2332 , CS 1315  or CS 1337 , MATH 3342 . Introduction to the theory of the finite element method for applications in solid mechanics, heat transfer, and/or fluid mechanics. Emphasis on one- and two-dimensional problems and study of common finite elements including trusses, beams, plates, shells, and solids. Computer implementation; use of commercial codes.
