EDRD 6345 - Application of Structured Literacy

The course covers the foundational skills of literacy development and knowledge to develop emergent literacy skills. Emphasis includes oral language, phonological and phonemic awareness, concepts of print, the alphabetic principle and word identification to help all children learn to read and think critically. The course will also address instruction for students with reading difficulties and the use of a variety of instructional methods and resources.
