Prerequisite(s): six hours of graduate or undergraduate reading courses. The course helps candidates develop an understanding of assessment by examining the use of both formal and informal assessment measures for evaluating student performance and planning instruction. It includes state-mandated instruments, with emphasis on administration, interpretation and evaluation of results with opportunities to emplement classroom based assessment. Also, includes procedures for diagnosis, instruction, and intervention for students with dyslexia.
