Prerequisite(s): MUSI 1307  and MUSI 2312 . Development of musical genres, styles, and practices ranging from the middle of the eighteenth century to the present day. Musical works will be considered in a broad cultural context relating to the contemporary visual arts, literature, and popular culture. Brief research paper required.
