Scholarship Opportunities for Graduate Students

West Texas A&M University offers a number of competitive scholarships to students pursuing graduate degrees. Through the Graduate School, most awards for graduate students, which are subject to annual availability of funds, generally factor the following:

Completing the online scholarship application by February 1
Maintaining a 3.0 or higher GPA
Completing FAFSA and showing financial need
Being a resident of Texas

Academic departments and other University departments also award scholarships to graduate students. Although the criteria may vary, most are awarded to resident and non-resident students based on academic excellence, leadership, or special talents.

For summer awards, visit the Graduate School’s website at https://www.wtamu.edu/academics/graduate-school/financial-information/Scholarships.html after April 1. Submit the summer scholarship form in addition to other requirements listed above.
