Graduate programs within the disciplines of agriculture, biology, chemistry, engineering technology, and environmental science offer students an opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge of a particular academic area, each of which emphasizes obtainment of research skills appropriate to the discipline. The graduate faculty are actively involved in research and publication, thus, ample opportunities are available for graduate students to pursue the research necessary for writing a thesis or dissertation. Most of the graduate programs can be structured to meet individual needs within broad degree requirements. Library holdings and facilities, when coupled with the capacity for rapid interchange of materials from other area libraries, provide excellent support of student and faculty research programs.
