. Mathematical analysis of physical problems in the vibration of mechanical systems. Topics include linear-free vibrations, forced vibrations and damping in single degree of freedom systems, transient vibrations, multi-degree of freedom systems, vibration of continuous systems such as strings, shafts, rods and beams, and introduction to analytical methods in vibrations.
