MATH 2321 - Discrete Structures I

Prerequisite(s): MATH 1316  or MATH 2412 . Introduction of the foundations of discrete mathematics as they apply to computer science, focusing on providing a solid theoretical foundation for further work. Topics include functions, relations, sets, simple proof techniques, Boolean algebra, propositional logic, digital logic, elementary number theory and the fundamentals of counting.
