Overview of current technologies used in manufacturing automation systems and production planning and control; FMS, robotics, CNC, CAD/CAM/CIM, PCs, machine vision, lasers, JIT, bar coding, voice activation of computers. Content includes the impact of these technologies on first-line employee supervision with emphasis on personality development and interaction for increased productivity.
