Survey of the immune system with focus on human and mouse models of defense mechanisms against infection. Covers the origin and differentiation of the hematopoietic system; antibody structure and function; and basic seroligic techniques such as ELISA, fluorescence microscopy, agglutination, precipitation and gel diffusion.
